From a small production company in Kunštát to literally outer space: SAFIRAL turns 18 and opens a cutting-edge EMS facility in Letovice
Letovice, November 28, 2025 – The Czech company SAFIRAL s.r.o., a specialist in express custom electronics manufacturing services (EMS), celebrated its 18th anniversary yesterday and at the same time officially opened a new manufacturing facility in Letovice with a total area of 3,419 m². Construction of the facility began in February 2025, and the company completed its relocation at the end of September 2025.
An investment exceeding 150 million Czech crowns has delivered a state-of-the-art production line meeting top European standards, a threefold increase in production capacity, and the creation of up to 25 new positions.
Founded in 2007 as a small start-up with limited resources and a single pick-and-place machine, SAFIRAL has grown into one of the leading companies in its field. Today, the company manufactures electronics ranging from household appliances and water meters to industrial control units, PCBs for automotive headlight systems, railway technologies, and components for the aerospace and space sectors – including parts for electric aircraft. Products manufactured in Letovice therefore operate both in outer space and in households around the world.
“We are celebrating adulthood. Over the past 18 years, we have grown from a small workshop in Černá Hora, through production in Kunštát at the site of a former ceramics factory, into a modern high-tech company capable of delivering functional prototypes or series production faster than most European competitors – often even before competitors manage to calculate costs and plan production. The new facility and state-of-the-art production line elevate the company to a new level of technological and operational capability and at the same time express our gratitude to all customers, partners, and employees who are part of our story,” says Martin Lepka, Managing Director and Owner of SAFIRAL.
“SAFIRAL brings significant added value to the town of Letovice and is a highly valued employer for us. I am pleased that the city was able to issue the building permit within two weeks of the application and that only a few months later, the company is already completing the final approval process and fully operational,” adds Petr Novotný, Mayor of Letovice.
The ceremonial opening on November 26, 2025 was attended by more than 110 business partners, customers, and friends of the company. The program included a tour of the new facility, demonstrations of the latest production line, a reception, and guided visits to the Baroque pharmacy at the local hospital and to Letovice Castle.
During the Open Day on November 28, 2025, the new production facility was visited by 150 members of the general public.
